O-line woes: Solutions via 2019 Free Agency?

it looks like a much better year for the O-line in 2019. Names that jump out at ya include Matthews, Lewan and Martin. Of course, chances are their teams will re-sign them. But ya never know. The Rams could make a play for them, or some in the second wave. In fact, because they've traded away so many of their early draft picks, they may have to go that route, and I'm betting they're already thinking in those terms.

It would be an amazing "soft landing" to move from Whitworth to someone like Matthews (27 for 2019 season) or Lewan (28). Martin (29 for 2019) would also be an amazing get for the inside.

Not saying they shouldn't draft replacements and/or depth. They have to. No question. It's a must. But to keep the line at its best, they may need to go after the top tier free agents next season, or close. And I'm betting that the Rams have now become one of the preferred destinations for FAs. Unlike in years past, players are gonna want to play for the ascending Rams -- for a young, innovative coach, in perhaps the best market for non-football ops available.
