Heard him say Fish and Snead have not got along for the past 3 years. Different personalities and viewpoints. Makes you wonder how many personnel moves they disagreed on. And did they both agree on Goff. Ian also said evaluators still like Goff, they see the arm talent and intangibles. He needs good coaching. Rams did him no favors.
Personally, I still see serious problems with how this organization is run. Kroenke hides behind Demoff when things are difficult, and they have a GM who isn't really a GM. Honestly, I'm not sure what Snead is. I mean, he's a personnel guy, but he's not a guy you can put up in front of the media who can speak with authority. That's not a GENERAL MANAGER when you think about the title.
Apparently the Rams braintrust is the dynamic duo of Kroenke and Demoff. These guys are great with business decisions like relocation, building a stadium, and engaging a community but I have serious doubts that they have any idea on how to hire good football people and setup a good football organization. Of all their shortcomings the biggest failing of Kroenke and Demoff was their inability to recognize the fatal flaw of a Fisher offense. This flaw was obvious to the veriest tyro, yet shockingly was oblivious to those two apparently intelligent men for years.
And now these two football challenged men are leading a search for the next HC. Forgive me if I'm not overly optimistic. Maybe they'll get lucky. But if they're really smart they'll realize that they have no business picking a HC and they'll hire a REAL GM, not a glorified scout with a fancy haircut, and let him run this football team.
