I suspect the Rams don't want June to roll around and then they realize they can't come to terms with Williams. It's too late for Plan B then! But at this point I bet they know where the negotiations are headed.

If they have a bad feeling about the direction they can draft his replacement on April 24.

If they are making progress then maybe they simply draft a RB3 in the later rounds who can bring some much needed speed to the RB room.
