The Lombardi Trophy: There
could never be a Belichick trophy for the very reasons that there is a Lombardi.
Let that sink in - think about that for a while; name the reasons why, look at the legacies of these two and other coaches. What are the measures of greatness?
Winning record has to be moderated by how achieved, does it not? Do we, or should we, remember the 'roided-up home run hitters of the juiced era as the "best" baseball players? Should a similar standard be applied to coaches and how their records are achieved? How would they be remembered without the enhancements?
Food for thought - if you've read this far et me know yours.
