We've already had a lively discussion about the Jones trade and the swap between OG and C. For those who are looking for the boogie man and think The Rams fouled up, or evaluated wrong, etc., does this article settle the matter for you?
Did you notice that even Jackson said that he always felt that Center was his most natural position? And that Avila is so exceptional at OG especially on things like Screens that to move him away probably diminishes his unique abilities.
Considering how incredibly well the Rams have done with the Snead/McVay team, to imply that the Rams do impulsive rash things and put themselves in boxes (like Jones) that suddenly bit them simply doesn't hold water. That is not their MO. What they are is closed mouth and don't telegraph everything they are thinking. They also strongly believe in giving players that are not going to work out for them a new home if possible, even if the Rams don't get maximum in return.
I trust Jourdan to tell us things factually. I trust Snead and McVay to put together and coach excellent teams. Each one has earned this. That's why I guess it bugs me when these sorts of accusations fly around. Sports fans rights or not. And, as vocal as nay sayers want to be, I'm going to be just as vocal to back our FO and HC because they have earned it. Will every decision work out as planned? Of course not. Too many unpredictable factors swirl around to get it right 100% of the time. It's a batting average, and the Rams have a VERY high batting average since the Kroenke/Snead/McVay trio has been in operation.
