I feel like his game translated well

August 14, 2024 12:44PM
but he was never really a factor with any team he played for. I feel like he should have been a great player. But there was something missing. I don't know if it was lack of work ethic, or just not a feel for route running. The greatness never happened.

I still believe that he was at a minimum an explosive weapon that could change or even wreck games but I feel like I can count on my hands the times that he excelled. Gurley probably benefitted from teams' respecting Austin on the sweeps.

I just feel like he didn't have whatever intangibles it takes to be great in the NFL. On a side note I never felt that he was utilized to 100% correctly. But if McVay couldn't anything with him, I am just going to keep my mouth shut. But always a fan and always wanted to see him do well.
