and short term deals for vets. The rookie deals allow money to be spent on these very type things over going out and getting a guy like Allen that would have involved money. The 1 year prove it type deals with vets also works that way. The RAMS CAN do for Matthew because of the way they have set up the payouts. They now have 2 good Edge guys at very cheap deals over what the vets are/were asking for. Allows money to go towards vets like Matthew. IMO that's exactly why they stayed out of the edge spot in FA....planning ahead.
Do the O with vets primarily and the D with capable rookies and prove it vets....
