Several years ago I was at a charity auction-one of those where you walk around with a drink and if you see something you write down what you would pay for it-.My wife comes up to me and whispers "come with me, you have to see something" . And there it was on a table not prominently displayed a photograph of Gabe hunched over the center calling signals with snow falling in the background and he is covered in mud. Black and white. It is contained beautifully on a heavy marble back with a gold bar below the photograph which simply states: " Roman Gabriel. No. 18. Los Angeles Rams" .
I can't recall how much we paid but I don't think there were any other bids.
I only wish I knew how to take a photo with my phone and post it here.
