I imagine a lot of NFL teams will be doing their homework on Sweat

I have no idea if the young man had any DUIs before. Or if he was a disciplinary problem.
But, to play at 370 or so tells me something not good. There is no way his coaches wanted him playing at that weight. He's not 6'10".

I just have this sense that the Rams didn't have him on their board in the first place. Not so much because he had some serious red flags, beyond the fact that the 370 playing weight was a red flag. Now with a DUI? More because I don't think he fits the profile for the versatile, quicker, type of DL they tend to like. Murphy, Newton, Fiske and a few others do.

There's other guys that are good DTs that don't now have his baggage. Plus, he is now on the NFL's radar and will have more immediate scrutiny and a bit shorter leash that some other guys that have stayed clean on that front.

Pass.

Puka Nacua was not a surprise to PFF - they had him rated as the #1 receiver in the 2023 draft class

PFF, could be said to have been right on Desjuan Johnson and Kobie Turner

JimYoungblood5365April 12, 2024 06:22PM

You're right, PFF had Turner rated with Kancey and Carter at the top of DI class with Johnson right behind them
