The Rams do not ever want to get into the draft a college kid and develop him as a starter scenario. It's a pure crapshoot that involves remodeling the roster and schemes to accommodate him. And there is no way to know how it will turn out except that the odds are against you. That, my friend, is a very bad bet.
Better to get a very good vet in FA when the time comes for Stafford to retire. And the Rams are one of the teams that a good FA QB would like to play for.
They have no need whatsoever to draft a QB and I don't believe they will.
They will probably draft Spencer Rattler in the 3rd round.
