I really didn't think Chase was a good fit in a post AD lockerroom but I find it interesting that a Saints team that is perpetually in cap hell for kicking the can down the road would sign him to a 1 year fully guaranteed deal. To what end? Why are they delaying taking their medicine as if they feel their championship window is still open?
The Aints have been linked to Edge in lots of mocks and this might lessen the odds they take one at #14. Lots of mocks also have the Falcons taking Dallas Turner at #8, and if they lose their pick due to tampering, that could also improve the odds of a Latu, Verse or Turner falling to #19.
