They will certainly miss having AD around. The 'AD effect' is a real thing and not having that will certainly make their jobs harder.
OTOH players develop a lot from year 1 to year 2 and typically continue to get physically stronger for several years after that just from being in an NFL program year around and also develop better reactions just because of the repetition practicing and playing against various schemes. In other words, upside. That's a real thing, too.
Does the quantum leap at 1 CB spot and 1 Safety spot plus the incremental individual improvement of a dozen players plus the influx of a (hopefully) talented rookie class compensate for the loss of the AD effect?
And if it doesn't, can the Rams trade for enough talent during the season to make up the difference?
I guess we'll see ...
