Goff got worse. Wolford was a bust. Perkins never developed. And they wiffed on scouting Stetson.
McVay does well with vet QB's which is why it make sense to try to keep Wentz. I don't see any whispering going on.

I think you raise a legitimate question. In terms of young quarterbacks, Goff certainly got much better initially under McVay so much so that he led the rams to a Super Bowl, but then clearly regress when More was heaped upon him.

In terms of his career, the one quarterback that unquestionably gives McVay credit for developing him in his youth is Kurt cousins.

I do agree McVay is better with veteran quarterbacks
