Did Elway and Manning have their mamas paint their fingernails and cry in public in mama'sarms after a loss?
I'll give him his talent - at the college level. Matt Leinart was a high-profile great college QB, toowith lots of splash and glitter leading up to draft day - before he washed out of the NFL.
I think playing QB at an elite level in the pros demands more of the inner man - mentally and emotionally - than playing other positions. Caleb shows as very bright in interviews. And he's young - plenty of years left for him to grow.
But it appears to me he needs to grow up fast in some areas to be a real leader to a grown-up football team on the field, and not a negative DIVA presence in the lockerroom.
Matthew Stafford's O line players believe in him and play hard for him. I'll stop there. Make your own comparisons, draw t your own conclusions.
