We (Fresno) have had two transfer LBs from SC the past three years and they've done nothing.

Got another this year (DE Korey Foreman) who was one of the top recruits in the country and underachieved at SC.

Goes to the point of scheme or coaching at SC.

Unless you're making a negative comment about the coaching at FSU, doesn't the fact that those transfer LB's haven't done anything point more towards talent? Aside from Foreman, Clay Helton really became a non-factor recruiting-wise over the 3 years prior to his ouster. I've no problem with recruiting 2 and 3-star players. But if you don't coach them up, that talent gap just becomes more pronounced and you end up getting worked over. This is something that I've admired Kyle Whittingham, Jim Harbaugh, and Pete Carroll for. They coach-up the rosters that they have...which leads to kids being drafted...which leads to more (and better) HS players wanting to play for you.

As for Foreman, himself...he was oft-injured while at USC. And when healthy and on the field, he was a non-factor (despite being afforded ample opportunities to rush the passer). An article in the LA Times a couple years back suggested that the coaches questioned his desire. Who knows? Hopefully, a change in scenery will do him well.
