Warming up to Franchising Dotson

I think it's 19.885M for all OL, but with the raising of the salary cap from an estimated 242M to a projected 250M, that's additional 8M to use. So why not franchise Dotson for one year and ask him to "do it again"? I think this makes a lot of football business sense in making him prove his one year wasn't a fluke, that he can stay healthy and available, and then address his long term contract next year. You also get to ensure he stays a Ram for another year.
