If you need a guy for 1-2 games, then great, bring him on. He brings that running ability, which no one prepares for when they are prepping for Stafford. But if you need him for more than that, and that is how he plays every game, he will be lucky to last 3 games. Then he gets hurt and we are down to whatever is behind him, which may be Rypien-level or worse.
Fair point on Wentz will durability because it has always been an issue. Now, like you communicate, can he last if called upon for several games or more? I don't believe they would have called that many running plays for him, if he was the number 1 and also, I do believe they should add a 3rd QB to develop. I guess IMO, Wentz was the best backup QB the Rams have had since Marc Bulger and his victory over the 49ers, will endear him to me for an extended period of time.
