If it was me I would use FA to finish the offense so the only thing I need in this draft from that side of the ball is a prospect who can be a long term backup QB.
My favorite candidate for that role is Hartman, because he will be available until the late rounds. He struggled during Senior Bowl week and is limited in his arm talent but the dude has a ton of experience as a QB and I expect will make a solid backup. Now for this season we probably need to retain Carson, but long term a guy like him is going to try to get back to a starter gig. He's probably not going to be happy sitting behind Stafford, but maybe we can get him on the cheap for 2024 in exchange for his game being rebuilt by McVay.
Post 2024 though I expect that drafted QB can handle that job. Rams obviously whiffed on the last one due to not seeing whatever the problem was. This time around they need to get that right and add someone who is intelligent and capable of running the system who has backup level talent. Hartman will be disregarded by most teams but he has the talent to be a backup and his body of work is excellent. Either way though someone of that level needs to be brought in.
Then next year you nuke the QB prospects and see if maybe you can find a diamond in the rough type. But for this backup job you want polish and sufficient experience running an offense.
