I wouldn't necessarily say that.

USC is a private institution that is hell-bent on its football team returning to its glory years. It's been reported that its HC (Lincoln Riley) has a multi-year contract valued in excess of $110M ($10M+ per season). I'm not sure what Henderson was making while serving as the Rams DL coach (or what he would've made as their DC). But I'm willing to bet that, financially-speaking, it could've very well been a no-brainer for him to leave for USC.

That's a good point. I was only thinking about the job itself and not the money that comes with it.
