that he covers the blind spots that McVay is acknowledging he is missing. Similar to the guy that Andy Reid uses to prep the team on OT playoff rules. So a "here's what rules changed and what we need to be aware of" in 2024.
If he can also help McVay in game (time?) management during games that would just be gravy on top of everything else. Reminding McVay to run the ball would be out of his area of expertise, no matter how welcomed that would be!
