Then yes you sign him. A thousand times yes. He would be a perfect addition to this seasoned offense because he locks down the blindside and we have Jackson behind him if he misses time. So the line would look like:

LG: Avila

RG: Jackson
RT: Havenstein
That would work. The new center would be well protected there, even if there is dropoff from what Dotson gave us this season to Jackson. Also I would rather have an old stud like Smith at LT than Jackson, because despite how well Jackson did the job I don't trust that he will continue to be healthy in that role or be able to lock it down long term. Smith has shown an ability to lock it down and would put the Rams passing game back into elite levels because when Stafford isn't worried about that blindside he's absolutely deadly.
