I agree with drafting Jackson Powers-Johnson from Oregon. The guy is looking like a beast.
The problem might be that if the Rams don't draft him at #19 or maybe before #25 ? (with a trade down), he probably won't be there when their 2nd round pick comes up.
So do they see C as a need that must be addressed with their 1st pick or can it wait until later in the draft by a player who is rated as lower in ability? Or do they resign Shelton?
I would think they go CB (Quinyon Mitchell please) or Edge in the first before C, but what a line it would be . . .
Tyron Smith (LT), Avila (LG), Jackson-Powers (C), Dotson (RG) and Havs (RT) with Jackson in as others miss games. See how I snuck Tyron Smith in there?
Nobody would touch Stafford for the next 3 years and the Rams would average 30+ a game.
Use the savings from Boom, Shelton and Allen to help sign Smith and Dotson.
Wish Boom and Allen (the contracts just don't justify what the Rams are getting from them) well and give them opportunity elsewhere in the league.
