but going down that narrative, In Goff's last year and half with the Rams he did not play to Goff's strengths he actually played to his weakness, keeping him on the head set making him play without any play action pass or trying to make every game a shoot out was not a Goff type of game.
That isn't what McVay regrets when he looks back at it, he regrets the way he handled dumping him....says Goff earned more respect than what he was showed towards the end.
McVay just didn't have the patience and saw the defense window was closing so he made the tough decision to dump a kid who took them to a Super Bowl for a vet that could win him one.
Props to Goff for keeping his head up learning from his mistakes and making the most of his next chapter....he landed in Detroit in the dead of winter on a team that was dead and has been a huge part of their turn around....just like he was when he helped turn around another dead NFL team when he was drafted by the Rams. He did it at Cal too.....
Whether we admit it or not, I think most Rams fans will be rooting like hell for him today to take another team to the Super Bowl
