I'm not sure they can depend on Higbee for anything more than a reserve role. Allen needs to step up and I think he's capable. Anything they get out of Long will be a bonus.

Unfortunately, we're stuck with him and his contract. It's going to limit Allen until he doesn't have to split time with Higgs, and I just don't see where there's room for a big name FA in this group.
