I think many despised her because she called into a radio program to complain about Mike Martz's allegation. I think some attribute that public dissention as the reason for the irreparable relationship by the team.
I wasn't one that despised Brenda. I always looked at the way Kurt interacted with her at the games and particularly the SB 34 run. I concluded that Brenda was part of Kurt's secret sauce so whether it was in public or private, when Brenda felt the team disrespected Kurt, then it was over whether she went public or not.
Interesting to me was that during Kurt's life story Movie, Brenda and her exploits played an outsized role and that made me cringe a bit, I have to admit.
