So, yeah, I would have gone for it but Rams likely had their own analytics that showed that punting was marginally better punting.
Maybe Rams charts said there was more than a 10% chance of winning by punting. I don't think they would have done it out of
not knowing the pros and cons of either situation.
I guess it's possible they were ignorant of the details but I think McVay weighed the options and made the best decision he could.
We are free to disagree ... I don't have the analytics they have, though.
