Unlike others like Plaschke who is secure enough in in himself to admit when he's wrong (ie his LA Times recent article where he laments saying the Rams would be a bad team this year), Bernie always was Mr Right But Never Wrong. He used to pride himself on having a vote for the NFL Hall of Fame but never owned up to any of the many mistakes he made over the years.
Like you said, 43, this opinion prose of Bernie's did not age well.
