Bernie is a putz.

He specialized in destroying careers. Contempt, sarcasm, innuendo, personal attack and degradation were his strong suits. They're all on display here as they were in his relentless attacks on Kurt Warner that were instrumental in pushing Kurt's ouster from the Rams.

What a shame that a such compelling prose style had to be squandered on an out-and-out snide and morally bankrupt little cynic, whose personal satisfaction in degrading and destroying others is something I utterly loathe but scarcely understand.

Why?

Twenty years later, I have to ask: Bernie, what has your life been worth? What good have you done, really?
