Maher is decent. I am actually confident he can make the majority of the kicks we ask him to attempt.

Also. I know we will be more likely to go for it on 4th down, which may not be the worst thing.

Also, he gets a "free" tryout vs 49'ers. Make a few, get some confidence and kick the game winner vs Dallas/Detroit.

))))

I think we might be ok if we don't ask him to hit from over 50 yards.

Some smart coaching decisions could help the cause with the shaky FG unit.
