I don't think durability was Wentz's issue, instead it was brains / wisdom. He was a big and strong running QB in a small division school and he got to bully smallish DBs when he ran. Anyone aware of the NFL knows that for a runner like Wentz his days were numbered. He had good athleticism but not on par with the greater running QB like that dude from Balt, and M. Vick.
Wentz purposely proclaimed that he was not going to change his running style. I have real harsh criticism for that. He should have learned to improve his pocket passing mentality and abilities. He could have ended up like that big QB Pittsburg had, Ben Rothlisberger, the guy who won a couple of SBs and carried the Steelers every so often.
I'm hoping to see him bring out the best of his skills this week. I have hope that somewhere inside he's got some good skills like that QB we picked up late last year and who helped us beat the Raiders on 10 minutes notice.
Sorry I can't recall everyone's name. I'm old.
