I also rely on [
overthecap.com] for cap and contract info and all the data in this post comes from them.
The Rams currently have $4.5M in cap space in the 2023 season. If that remains to the end of the season they can roll that over to 2024.
I think everyone agrees that Noteboom is going to get cut next year. That will save $5M against the cap ... unless the Rams designate that as a post-June 1 transaction, in which case it's a $15M savings in 2024 and $10M in dead money in 2025. (Note that the Rams currently have $93M in cap space in 2025 and no dead money at the moment.)
Allen is in a similar spot: a $5M savings if they cut him. But if they designate that as a post-June 1 transaction make it $7M cap savings in 2024 with $2M in dead money in 2025.
If the Rams wanted to they could create $69.5M in cap space next year without really handcuffing themselves going forward. (Current cap space of $43M plus $4.5M rollover plus $15M from cutting Noteboom plus $7M from cutting Allen.)
