Looking extremely unlikely Staley stay at the Chargers. and it would be nice to have a consistent DC for a while instead of losing them to HC jobs every few years. Staley has proven he can't succeed as a HC.
He was such a great DC for us, and I loved his aggressive defensive style. although, the chargers defense looks so bad, i dont know if its a product of his poor head coaching or the NFL has figured him out.
I think Staley would do at least as good a job as Morris.
Some guys are good coordinators but lousy HC’s I think that Staley is such a coach.
Steve Spagnuolo is another example of that. Horrible HC, one of the worse ever (Rams) but a heck of a DC with 3 Super Bowl rings to show for it.
