I think it is the combination of the secondary's performance this season VS the talent level.
Witherspoon is a castoff who gets beat. Kendrick is a smart corner who doesn't have a lot of room for error vs the top wideouts in this league. They have rotated through the slot some different guys. Durant has talent in coverage but weakness in tackling. Tomlinson is getting a redshirt. Yeast is a limited safety who is best served in the box. Fuller has been hit and miss but overall he's not a top safety like he looked that year under Staley.
But they're 11th in the league in passer rating against. That's a really good indicator VS the talent Pleasant is working with that he's making life very hard on QBs. The defense is undergunned in talent but disciplined and effective, a sign of top coaching.
