Statistically you don't have a realistic chance at the title if you're starting a rookie QB. Chances are you're gonna come up short. So if you draft one you still need a bridge QB. Which Stafford would be great at, because he can hold it down while the kid comes up to speed in 2024.
But from the perspective of resources, it would hurt to use a first round pick on a QB3 when that might be a cornerstone position you sorely need. We need LT. We need Edge. We need a shutdown Corner.
So for my money the best way forward is address QB when you feel you can, but at the top (let's say the first three rounds) you're after starters for 2024.
