Although I'd be disappointed at not having a shot at the two highest-rated QB's, I wouldn't necessarily hate it either if the 1st three rounds played out like this.

A couple of things:

1) With holes all over the place, it'd be hard to be mad at selecting an OT. That'd give us talented youth at 3 positions on the OL (with Avila and a re-signed Dotson).

2) With his injury history and immobility, I wouldn't be surprised if Penix, Jr. fell out of the 1st round. And even then, I'm not so sure that I'd draft him there.

3) I've had a chance to watch Sanders play in a couple of games and I've been somewhat impressed. In looking at his stats for the season, I was surprised to see that he had over a 70% completion rate with only 3 INT's. I say surprised because Colorado has absolutely NO running game and their pass-pro is non-existent. Unlike Caleb Williams, Sanders doesn't quite possess the escapability that might help him to extend plays and survive. As a result, he's taken quite a beating this year. But he's kept the TO's low and completions high - things that will keep a professional HC employed.

I could see the Rams drafting Sanders and red-shirting him a year to get stronger (he's Goff-like body-wise) and learn a thing or two behind Stafford who should also benefit from an improved OL.

This type of draft would allow the Rams to use FA to bolster their DL and secondary.
