1) Rampage said it best. It would be an asinine move to dump McVay at this point. The "what have you done for me lately" is a very bad approach and argument.
2) Ramgator and Speed are right that McVay has made more than an allowable amount of dumb mistakes during the last couple of years. I call it maturing and learning. The shine has been off McVay for several years now and I think everyone knows it. He isn't perfect but overall he's been pretty good. We don't have rosy colored glasses on, but we don't need to be chicken little either.
If McVay was dumped today he's be snatched up faster than my dog jumped on my slice of pizza that fell out of my hand. They would laugh at us and laugh all the way to the bank. Plus, who out there is going to improve things?
I live in the Detroit area. I can tell you that back in the day the short-visioned and short thinking Lions' fans wanted Wayne Fontes to go because he could only win about 8 games a season on average. They got their wish. LOL. You guys should know the rest of the story: Detroit football became a national laughingstock. Even the Russians were telling jokes about the Lions! Even Jay Leno got in on the act! I had so much fun, so much laughter teasing my friends up here. I was so bad.
I really don't want to back to the 90s when the Rams were a joke. My goodness, go out and buy a little fortitude, patience, and grace. McVay isn't perfect but his track record says he's a damn sight better than most of the rest.
