One thing I think the brass knows that we don't...
What type of people the top rushers next year are.
They have personality profiles that we don't have access to.
If they're not digging the work ethic or attitude... then giving up a first makes sense.
Right now most of the pure talent evaluation gives us a decent idea of what the first round looks like. But for us, we don't know mental or personality stuff.
They likely do.
Right now the LT position is pretty secure.
CB next year isn't really boasting 1st round talent besides maybe mckistry.
And given what I'm seeing the QBs that can stay in school will do so besides maybe Quin Ewers (as there's a manning behind him waiting).
If Burns is going to bring us his best years? It's hard to turn down.
