That's what I'm trying to explain. If he had it concealed on his person or in his car, they will arrest him for that, whether he purchased it legally or not. And in the scenario I described, that's all it takes for them to arrest you. They're not going to sit there and discuss your second amendment rights.
Now if you're cruising down the 91 alongside your kids in the car with their Mouseketeer hats on, the cops aren't doing that. If you're a young black man out at 2am, they're absolutely doing that. I don't care who you tell them you are.
Again, from the sounds of it, this is small time stuff that's going to get dismissed. If there were real charges, that would have been discovered outside of the team disclosures.
