It could be a number of things.
Maybe Kendrick's is better in run support.
Maybe Kendrick's is in the right place at the right time. (If this is it, this is something the guys behind him can learn...)
Maybe with all the defensive minds on the Rams staff they can't tell that they're starting an inferior player.
