Is Morris defending Hoecht's play or am i misreading this??? Does he not see the issue with having Hoecht in coverage?
(
On Michael Hoecht being the nearest defender on a couple of touchdown
passes over the last few weeks)
“So, Michael Hoecht in coverage, we got the (Colts TE) Mo Alie-Cox big
touchdown a couple weeks ago in Indy. We’re playing fire zone. He's got him
matched up in coverage, becomes a scramble drill and we could have had any
DB we wanted on him if we would've made that coverage on the other side of
the field if we don't sack the quarterback and get him on the ground, or not let
him get out the pocket and make that play. This week, nice little gimmick play
by those guys, supposed to have some over-the-top help. We missed the over-
top-help, had a little bust on that type of deal or a miscommunication and we
got to get him on that one. We give him a lot of hard assignments, not usually
one-on-one. Usually, he’s in it within the framework of a zone, whether it be a
fire zone or whether it be type of three deep zone, or a quarters type of match
like those guys do. But you can get caught up with some bad matchups and
outside linebackers on some of these guys. And this week versus that tight end
they lulled him to sleep with a nice little twirl bird there we call a ‘pepper route’
and was able to get open and get some yards and able to capitalize. Luckily, I
think Ahkello…(inaudible).
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
