first of all, most coaches, including McVay, will run more when leading and throw more when trailing...it is as old as time and can be charted.
so playing with a lead usually leads to more run plays obviously, so winning usually shows a more balanced offense than when you lose naturally.
Secondly, Stafford has final call on whether it is a run or pass play depending on what he sees from the defense in probably 90% of the plays
He does have his faults and he can be stubborn, but he is a top 5 coach in the NFL that most fan bases would love to have and is by far the best Rams coach I've seen in my lifetime and I ain't no spring chicken....maybe two coaches in the entire NFL have had more success than him since he became a head coach in 2017
comparing him to Martz is laughable outside of them both changing the way defenses had to play football....
He got here as a 30 year old kid who took over the worst offense in the NFL with a "bust" QB and became the best offense in the NFL in his FIRST season...after a decade of decay.
Spare us the "he bought a Super Bowl" schtick
and btw, the Rams are one of the most successful drafting teams since 2017 ...They in the top 5 in the NFL according to this study by PFF and we have had very very few top 50 picks in that span
and this was before this years draft which was probably our best
