This notion of a certain player for another player is a fantasy. It just doesn't work that way any longer. It's always about draft picks.
I honestly can't think of the last trade of a player for a player.
Truth is, we always inflate what we think a player's worth of draft picks is when its our player. I'd say we're looking at no more than a 6th for VJ. He's no more than the Rams 4th WR at this point. Would you give much of anything to a team for their 4th WR? Or for their 5th DT? Or their 4th CB? Or.....
Even more, salary ramifications matter greatly. Not sure what VJ is making or how losing him for the rest of the year would look salary wise, but overall unless VJ makes a demand and gets disgruntled, I'd keep him. Injuries happen and he is a very competent player who knows the Rams playbook well.
Bottom line: I don't think VJ will, nor should he, go anywhere. He won't be a Ram after this season, though.
