Sounds good to deal him when we think he gets nudged down to the WR4 (or WR5). But he's an UFA after this year and the odds they'd get more than a 7th or a swap of 6th rounders are
really low. A 5th would not happen unless he was still under contract in 2024.
Whether a WR misses two weeks or goes on IR I think having someone like him for veteran depth is worth more than that. And he still could sign elsewhere in 2024 and net the Rams a late 2025 comp. pick.
Van's catch rate (55.4% the past 3 years) is too low for a starting WR. But I'll take him for depth without question.
