What is McVay supposed to do? I'm sure he didn't tell his player to do that. The guy got tossed and fined. Sure, he could talk to his player afterwards but would that be wise? The kid is probably embarrassed about the play. I think the entire conversation could be..."don't do that again." "Right. Sorry. I won't."
The kid had no remorse after doing something stupid that could have injured someone. THAT is the issue. Not what McVay "said" to him. lol
BTW, Tre didn't look one single bit "embarrassed" to me or anyone else so I highly doubt that he was. He showed ZERO remorse. Didn't even hang his head. He walked away defiantly after the play IMO.
He made a stupid mistake. Just like AD did. If I was coach I would be telling them they need to be smarter than that. They're professionals and should carry themselves that way and we don't risk injuring other players.
I am pretty confident McVay told him just that too. I am sure he didn't have the conversation you mention but it was funny to read. lol
So, under McVay, we have Ramsey punching a team mate in the middle of an important game. We have AD losing his temper during games and practices with other teams and now add in Tre's flagrant face mask that could've really hurt someone. I am sure there are more that I am missing too.
That's a pattern I hope doesn't get worse. It seems like "self discipline" issues that can be corrected. I am sure McVay is on top of it though.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
