Hummell is Jones' backup at MIKE, he's not in competition for the #2 ILBer (JACK) with Rozenbloom
in the base 3-4
He'd backup both. Though similar, positions not the same. Hummel based on where he has played
in preseason would backup Jones.
We don't know if he can be the JACK or not...the complementary guy to the MIKE... maybe but
to me he's a MIKE. and one with good speed but no power to neutralize blocks.
The #3 guy, if they keep 3 would idally be someone who can play both. If Hummell, in the coaches'
minds can play the JACK that would give him leg up for final spot. But we don't know about Square
he was okay to me.
I am going to wait and see, I don't think we know everything yet. All we know he he made a good
INT ... and that helps his cause/
