this team gutted their defense
they are going to be relying on guys upfront that were drafted and now have to play and let players walk who were known commodities and helped this defense operate at the middle of the pack last year without AD in the second half
there was nothing that I just saw in this game though that changes any of that … the Rams looked exactly in this game how they do every single preseason. That guy Hummel that had the pick 6 was a complete disaster before he made that big play. I mean he was getting abused. If he makes the team or has to play for any reason … that will be a good thing for our opponents
the Rams are likely going to struggle this year 43… that is likely the case had they won 34-17 in a meaningless preseason game
The good as I saw it - oline pass blocking and run blocking looked to hold their own other than Bruss who sticks out like a sore thumb
Bennett I like him. It’s first time in a long long time where the Rams seem to have a QB capable of running their passing game in the preseason. Sure he made some bad throws, had some good ones too. I love how he throws with anticipation. Can’t wait to see him continue to develop next week. Give him the whole game. He needs the reps. And pray Stafford stays healthy this season because he’s gonna struggle if he actually has to play soon. Tomlinson does look like he might have something. Ronnie Rivers looks like he may have liked RB4 if there is such a thing. Can he return kicks?
