There is NO WAY you will get more viewers from 10- Midnight on a Monday night than you would on a Saturday from 4-7 PM. Of course, fans of the teams shown will be up. But lets say for a NCAA Title, you have Oklahoma vs USC for a Championship. You can bet that very high numbers of people on the East Coast are crashed at Halftime. The World Series was the first to start that crap of big games ending very late. Cubs Announcer, Harry Caray caught hell for calling it out. He said MLB is losing future fans because youngsters are long in bed when the game ends. Now? MLB is hurting. Oh...TVs ARE on all across the country. But who is actually watching. That AWESOME Rams/ Chiefs MNF game started out with 5 of us watching. By the end, it was me and my Step Son.
I get that NCAA does not wanna go against NFL Wild Card games but Football fans WILL watch both. Could you imagine the Party atmosphere across the Country on a Saturday afternoon with BOTH?
I know I'm just an old salt and gripe too much but I REALLY believe Saturday NC games would create another Super Bowl like weekend.
