Rams and the press can try to spin it positive and focus on him coming back from that injury. And they may be right that this is just a blip in his early career. The guy does have talent.
But I've felt all along that if Bruss can't compete for that RG job in year two and win it he's not gonna be a good player at this level. And I still feel that way. We'll see though and hope I am wrong.

I was shocked to see that in college Bruss actually started more games at right tackle than at guard. He seemed to be more effective there as well.
I guess his measurables made him projected as guard in the NFL but now that idea is changing.
College: Earned All-Big Ten second team his senior year in 2021 and All-Big Ten third team his junior year in 2020. Was an Academic All-Big Ten honoree each of his four seasons at Wisconsin.
Bruss appeared in 41 games (34 starts), including 25 starts at right tackle and six at right guard. In 2021, Bruss started nine games at right tackle and helped pave the way for the second-best rushing offense in the Big Ten. During the 2020 season, Bruss started all six games played, beginning the season at right tackle before starting five-straight games at right guard. In 2019, he played in 13 games (13 starts) with 12 starts at right tackle. Bruss appeared in 13 games (six starts) in 2018.
