I’ll say this. Stafford is 10 times the teammate that Rodgers is.
For that reason alone I take Stafford over the putz every time.
To actually think Stafford is not in the same league as Rodgers is just silly and not accurate IMO.
Comparing "stats" doesn't do it. There are too many variables to consider.
From what my eyes have seen from BOTH of them over the years is that Stafford can 100% make every throw that Rodgers can and then some. so I call that a tie or a slight edge to Stafford.
When it comes to toughness, I give the nod to Stafford as well. The dude is tough as nails. Rodgers is soft in comparison.
Both are really good at "off script" stuff so I call that a tie.
Both have 1 SB ring and each played a big part in getting the ring so I call that a tie too.
When it comes to having to carry a team with limited talent, I give the nod to Stafford.
As I stated before, Put Rodgers in Detroit for 12 years and see if his stats are better or worse than in GB. Rodgers clearly had more talent to work with a better run organization to back him.
Put Stafford in GB from day one and I bet Stafford's stats are better than Detroit too.
Rodgers is more of a Diva and unlikable IMO, so I give the nod here to Stafford as well.
Both players have the ability to make others better. I call this a tie.
So having said that, I have to say that I think Stafford is at LEAST as good or better than Rodgers but it's close. To actually say "Stafford is not in the same league as Rodgers" is laughable.
Rodgers is a great QB IMO but so is Stafford.
I guess everyone can have an opinion with no "proof" required.
It does make for good conversation though! There's no way to "prove" anyone is right or wrong here so it is what it is.
I'll take a healthy Stafford over a healthy Rodgers everytime.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
