Who is this @#$%& (since we're being offensive) who says, “Does he really give a s— enough at this stage of his career to be disciplined, or is he just going to wing it when it gets a little tight, and just force balls because he can? Remember Philip Rivers at the end in (Los Angeles) when he threw 21 interceptions and just said f— it?"
Yeah, that's a very offensive coach. I'm less unimpressed by his language (where he should expect to be quoted) than by his disdain for Stafford's character. Haven't we seen him do the opposite, often enough through his career, to conclude otherwise?
He started his career by defying pain and a useless left wing to bear down and play his best. That takes the sort of character and courage that this offensive human being of a coach doesn't recognize, and therefore quite likely doesn't posess. We saw him display that same courage last year when the O line fell apart - and he got up and kept thowing, time and again.
I expect the same this year - and until he hangs it up. He isn't the sort on man or football player to just say f-it and walk off.
